Using the model 422 Cooper-Atkins infrared thermometer is a safe way to measure surface temperatures of hot, hard to reach, electrically energized or moving objects. Verify HVAC distribution, check for overheated wires, radiant heat in floors, motors, insulation, pipes, breakers, and corroded connections. Excellent for reading ceiling duct temperatures from the floor without a ladder!
